The Formula

Presuming it's the nature of all kids to want to be strong at everything, and weak at nothing, OPYOW has 4 goals, 7 habits that help kids reach those goals, as well as one final challenge. Anyone aiming to duplicate OPYOW should be aware of its goals, its habits, and its final challenge. Check ‘em out.

The 4 Goals of OPYOW are...

  1. To compete with yourself instead of others
  2. To be a little stronger this week than you were last week,
  3. To be a little stronger this month than you were last month,
  4. And to be significantly stronger this year than you were last year.

If they accomplish these goals, within one year most kids will have immunized themselves against obesity naturally, without pills, shots, or fancy diets. And many will get there within months or even weeks.

The 7 Habits that make kids stronger every week, every month, & every year include…

  1. Working out 2 to 3 times each week
  1. Eating right
  1. Getting enough rest
  1. Avoiding tobacco
  1. Avoiding alcohol
  1. Avoiding drugs  - This ncludes performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. Even if they work in the short term, they've been shown to undermine long term health. And in all cases they (currently) cause you to be dependent on criminal elements in order to be supplied. We support natural strength/fitness instead of short sighted, unnatural, chemically induced strength/fitness.
  1. Taking responsibility for doing these things yourself because nobody else can do them for you. It’s up to you.

Once the goals are reached, and the habits are incorporated into a kid’s life, The One Final Challenge is to help TWO OTHER kids learn to pull THEIR own weight. Completing this one final challenge is comparable to having your BLACK BELT in OPYOW, and kids are constantly amazed at how strong THEY feel after helping two others climb the OPYOW mountain successfully.

An Intriguing Side Note

And possibly the most interesting OPYOW fact is that when kids apply these 4 goals, these 7 habits, and this one final challenge to anything else, including reading, writing, and arithmetic, they become stronger every week, every month, and every year in those areas. And in the process they also become winners in the game of life.
