Grant Funds are Falling Like Manna-From-Heaven if You Know How to Beat Childhood Obesity
Between the Federal Government’s new wellness oriented health care bill that looks like it’s finally going to pass through Congress, and large charitable foundations like the Robert Woods Johnson, or the Wm. J. Clinton Foundation, funds are falling like manna from heaven in the name of childhood obesity prevention.
No More Excuses
That is to say for schools, pre-schools, youth groups like the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Scouts, and the YMCA, the lack of funds is no longer an excuse for failing to tackle childhood obesity. The money is there for the asking. The challenge is to find a viable way to get the job done. If you can do that much you’re destined to get whatever you want, need, and ask for.
We’d Like to Help
And that’s where Operation Pull Your Own Weight would like to help out. That is to say we welcome the opportunity to work with school based or 501C3 grant writers, administrators, action oriented staff members to design a program with which you can guarantee tangible results that grant providers expect (but often fail) to see when they supply those all too necessary funds.
Kids Naturally Immunized Against Obesity for Life
Not only will we show you how to produce tangible, documented progress from week to week, month to month, all year long, but we’ll also show you how to help your students learn to naturally immunize themselves against obesity for life, and in the process turn the tide and win the childhood obesity war in your community.
What Will it Cost?
So where do you start? How much money will you need? And what could you do with it once you have it? Let’s quickly explore some of the possibilities. For example, the cost to equip one facility with a 3 station, wall mounted childhood obesity prevention machine (pull up bar), including height adjustable straps that allow anyone immediate access, and a means to developing the ability to physically pull their own weight will run $250 to $300. A half day orientation workshop will run $1500.
A Childhood Obesity Prevention Specialist
And finally, the cost to hire a Childhood Obesity Prevention Specialist to oversee the program throughout your community and to assure the promised results could range from $50,000 annually in small communities, to $100,000 in larger communities. And large metropolitan areas like New York City, Chicago, or Los Angeles will need to hire multiple specialists in order to get the job done right.
For Every Community in the Nation
By the way, we contend that in this day and age every community should have at least one Childhood Obesity Prevention Specialist on staff whose primary responsibility is to eliminate childhood obesity from that community within one decade, and to keep it under control thereafter. Such investments will not only save this nation trillions of dollars in the long run, but they’ll also immediately create tens of thousands of new and meaningful jobs, at a moment in our history when job creation is a top priority for our nation’s people and its President.
In Summary
In summary, the money is there for the asking if you have a viable way to beat childhood obesity. And that viable way can be right at your finger tips if you know how to successfully help your kids learn to physically pull their own weight and in the process immunize themselves against obesity for life.
At OPYOW we’d like to help you get that grant written, generate the funds you need, implement that viable program, and to eliminate childhood obesity from your community within one decade or less. If that sounds like a winner give us a call. We look forward to working with you and your people for the sake of your kids.
